Know Your Rights BK is a Non-Profit organization that provides accessible information of all human rights to the community to initiate and create positive change. KYRBK was formed as a response to the events that occurred following the lynching of George Floyd and other victims of police brutality, hate crimes, and as as a direct response to other atrocities we are facing in this country. The increased amount of protests that occurred in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic globally, lead to the cultivation of other ideas in ways that the community can be involved in positive change.
The year 2020 was an important election year. Historically, statistics have shown an increase in voter registration, but a decrease in voter participation. Our goal was to change this by making basic information about voting and census accessible through social media and monthly events that brought the community safely together.

Our Mission
To create a community space for residents, small businesses etc. to feel empowered to make change where they reside. Through programming, community support and mentorship, KYRBK will be able to provide a virtual space to truly build and contribute to the place we call home.
